This is an international body who debates, documents and distributes various standards. Although in the quality field, ISO is best known for the various ISO 9000 standards, the environmental ISO 14000 standards, and the ISO 22000 safety standards, ISO has set standards for a wide range of functions such as 16064 for accounting of green house gases, ISO/IEC 17021:2006 for certification of management systems and ISO3166ma standardized country codes.
